I'm extremely fond of my eris and her little flashlight and it breaks my heart to see her being replaced like this.
Think you have no clue how both of em work, so ill enlighten you:
Small dictor advantages (over heavy ones):
1. they are much faster
2. they lock much faster
3. they can gtfo from combat when they want due to speed (with few exceptions)
4. due to 1 and 3 they are also much more resistant (speed > tank, almost always)
5. their bubbles work even if they die
6. their bubbles can drag from warp
7. they can still perma tackle mothership as long as they have bubbles in cargo (where hvy dictors will die except for nano-broadsword)
8. they will still murder ceptors (unless ceptor is nanoed/snakes/gistii one)
9. they will be MUCH cheaper (10-20x)

1. 4km/s compared to 1km/s is quite a difference.
2. oh yes it is. AOE tackle is ONLY to keep enemy from insta warp. As soon as he ends in bub you switch to normal scrammers.
3. this is the "exception" im talking abt. Broadsword.
4. sorry but 1km/s is not speed. Speed is when oyu can burn back to gate under 3 huginns. You need abt 2,5-3km/s to do this.
6. medium warp buble needs time to be places. Dictor bubble is one click. And they do have massive advantages in dragging out of warp. Ask drone region carrier pilots how they like dictor bubbles. They make em die
7. onyx wont tank over 2000dps. So it will die. Only one that can try and perma tackle mom is broadsword, which is "exception"
8. good you think this way. It means most ceptor pilots think same = they underestimate dictor. Already after "curse nerfed !!!" outcry i got lots of ezy kills on stupid vagabonds that engage me.

I tanked a sleipnir in my phobos for 5 minutes. I ran out of cap and then died. FYI the armor on my phobos was low (2.2k), but I had like 85%+ avg resists on the ship
I tanked 2 ishtars and a onyx in a broadsword for.. heck I lost the count. it was funny seeing T2 ogres hitting me for 30dmg in my 80% avg. I eventually died cuz I had like 13k shields, but the recharge rate was on the 700's.
Sleipnir doesnt run 2000dps. Its around 700 with good skills + hail in optimal. So pretty tankable.
2 ishtars (drones only) + onyx hit abt 900dps (maybe 1000) - still 1000 too short from mothership damage. Also broad in tank mode has one of hardest tanks to crasck (only onyx has better i suppose).
So pretty much: im still correct. Also im correct (some other thread) that good gank-bs should kill hvy dictor;.

Well backup thing works both ways. If it gets annoying i can get one too :)
And tbh: gank geddon or gank mega will just rip em apart fast enough to bail out.
